Dell Legal Diversity Award Finalists Announced

Diversity is a core value for the Dell Legal team.  Last October, we announced the Dell Legal Diversity Award and recognized the law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski for their longtime collaboration in diversity programs for law students beginning their careers.  Then the effort began to identify the winner of the first award in 2012.

The Dell Legal Diversity Committee invited more than 50 law firms in March of this year, selected by the amount of money Dell spends with those firms, to submit responses to a survey on their diversity efforts.  21 firms responded and a series of evaluations and interviews took place over the next several months.  After carefully evaluating the materials, we selected eight finalists for the award.

The winner of the first Dell Legal Diversity Award will be announced in December but we wanted to recognize the eight finalists for the impressive work they have done to provide leadership opportunities for diverse attorneys, engaging diverse third party vendors, and establishing diversity within their own firm demographics.

Dell Legal is pleased to announce these finalists and congratulate them on their efforts.  The winning law firm will be selected in December and we look forward to sharing that announcement next month.

Dell Legal is happy to celebrate the many accomplishments of these firms.  All of them are worthy of the first Dell Legal Diversity Award and the Diversity Committee will have a difficult task to select a final winner.  We thank all the firms who responded to our survey and who believe diversity helps the legal profession in many ways.
