Adamo XPS Back on Dell.com

Today the Adamo XPS is available again directly from Dell at Adamobydell.com. Orders may also be placed via phone or chat sales. When folks discovered we had removed the Adamo XPS from online a couple of weeks ago there was some speculation that we had discontinued the product – this is not the case.  Demand for the Adamo XPS has been strong both online and in retail, where customers are able to see the amazing and award-winning design in person.  To avoid customer issues with longer lead times for online purchases, our intent was to point customers to key retail partners until we were able to build up sufficient supply.

In retrospect we could have done a better job communicating externally- and internally -that the Adamo XPS was still available at select Best Buy stores and on bestbuy.com.  Unfortunately, lacking full information, some of our own sales reps incorrectly told customers the product was no longer available -something we've corrected.

So, to borrow a quote attributed to Mark Twain, "The reports of the Adamo XPS death are greatly exaggerated." The Adamo brand is a springboard for design and engineering innovation, and lessons learned from bringing these iconic products to market trickle down through the rest of the Dell product portfolio, like the Vostro V13 and the Latitude 13. Expect details on upcoming Adamo products to be shared later this year.

In the meantime, you might want to check out some of the more recent  reviews of the Adamo XPS from PC Magazine, Laptop and TechnoBuffalo. The original Adamo is also available at adamobydell.com, starting at $999, plus a new updated configuration with faster processor, more memory, large SSD, and AT&T mobile broadband card starting at $1799.
