Alienware Prepares to Hit the Road with NVIDIA Pascal

Following its debut on Alienware desktops at E3, we’re excited to welcome NVIDIA’s new GeForce® GTX 10 Series on Alienware notebooks debuting at PAX West. These super-charged graphics cards will be available for the first time ever on notebooks, transforming our popular Alienware 13, 15 and 17 gaming machines into fully VR-capable portals that take mobile gameplay into a universe normally reserved for desktops.

In case you missed the recent hoopla, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 Series, with breakthrough Pascal™ architecture, is a graphics beast.

“…in a nutshell, Pascal is everything that was great about Maxwell 2, but bigger, better, and manufactured on TSMC’s 16nm FinFET process,” noted AnandTech.

It delivers up to three times the performance and power efficiency of previous GPUs, with faster and smoother gameplay, synchronized frame delivery and new image-capture technology. It opens the gateway to fully immersive VR experiences, with innovative audio, physics and haptics. Created with NVIDIA’s new FinFET manufacturing process, the GeForce GTX 10 Series offers gamers all the performance of a desktop in a mobile form factor.

“Nvidia’s mobile GPU lineup looks very impressive and promising,” said Steven Walton of TechSpot. “It will now be up to manufacturers to come up with a wide variety of gaming laptops that satisfy users’ demands…”

We accept that challenge.

Alienware 17 is for those looking for a gaming notebook with an emphasis on screen size, performance and immersion, with the power to immerse yourself in 360-degree VR action and truly feel the game. For many mobile gamers, the Alienware 15 is the Goldilocks option, just the right size.  This is a notebook built with strong performance in mind for faster, smoother gameplay, yet balanced with portability for mobile gamers desiring desktop performance. The smallest of our notebooks, the Alienware 13, gains big abilities with Pascal. Ultra-portable and already equipped with Intel’s advanced processors, the GeForce GTX GPU kicks the 13 into a whole new dimension, allowing gamers to play longer and enjoy high-performance graphics.

How do you make a great notebook even greater? Our Alienware Graphics Amplifier is designed to be a plug-in companion to any of our gaming laptops, small enough to slide into a standard carry case, yet powerful enough to transform mobile gaming, including VR, into an otherworldly experience. The Amp’s awesome abilities can kick your experience into high gear, especially when adding the latest discrete graphics card technology to drive multi-monitor support on the latest Dell 24” gaming or 34” curved monitors.

As we prepare for PAX West, we’re charged up about showing you Alienware notebooks with NVIDIA Pascal. Make sure to tune in to for our midnight announce (12:01 EST on 9/2) to get a sneak peak for what we’ll have on hand at the show.  And trust us – Pascal may be the beginning of the story but it’s certainly not the end of it.

  1. Super , we'd be interested in buying the Alienware 17 laptop with the new 1080 gpu. They really must make the laptop run very very cool and very very quiet under full gaming load. Sli config too

  2. "Accepting that challenge"? No, you are late, you are following, not leading. Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, even smaller players like Clevo released new models the same day Nvidia released Pascal. Meanwhile Alienware is late to the party, with nothing to offer today – what is there to get exited about?

  3. Agreed Alienware late to the party with mobile pascal, their sales told me shipping won't be until October earliest (end of), if that's the case I'm ordering a Clevo, can't wait that long.  I'm looking forward to Alienware 17 with glossy panel QHD or 4K please with either 1070 or 1080.  Top it off would be jbl sound like on the xps range..

  4. Thank you for your information! Finally there are Alienware with pascal. I wonder how 13 go with 1060, will it be too hot? Will you keep oled on 13 with pascal? Thanks!
