We launched
the new family of Dell Latitude business laptops earlier this year with enhanced
mobility and manageability features and over 100 design improvements. In terms of mobility, we’re adding yet another feature. Customers in the U.S. can
now configure the Latitude E6420 with Verizon 4G LTE mobile
broadband technology.

Verizon’s
new 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) wireless
technology offers blazing, fast network speeds. According to Verizon, users can
expect speeds up to 10X faster than the previous generation network.

So what does
that mean for Dell Latitude users? As one of the first business laptops
offering this new technology, you can now stay connected and more easily collaborate
via Latitude’s integrated video, voice and data technology. It’s Latitude
productivity, virtually anywhere. Also, the Latitude E6420 offers an
optional long-life battery which allows up to 12 hours of go-anywhere
productivity.

The
availability of Verizon’s 4G LTE wireless technology represents collaboration
between the two companies that has existed for five plus years. Our two
teams regularly work together to help customers expand their mobile computing
needs, especially when those needs require connectivity in unconventional work
locations.

Today you
can configure the Latitude E6420 with this technology. Later this year it
will be available on our semi-rugged and fully-rugged business laptops: E6420 ATG and E6420
XFR
.

To give you
an idea of what others are saying about the Latitude E6420, PC World said the system delivers, “… all
the power you'd want in a business laptop plus outstanding battery life.
” PC Magazine said the laptop, “…has everything
that an enterprise user is looking for in a business laptop
.”

In addition
to offering optimal security and reliability with Dell Data Protection, Remote Data Delete and Free Fall Sensor, the E6420 also offers the following features:

  • Multi-touch
    LED display
  • Quad
Core processor & discrete graphics options, and
  • Armored
top to bottom with powder-coated base and spill resistant keyboard.

Be sure to check out the Verizon’s 4G LTE technology site if you have questions.
