This past Sunday Dell partnered with Red Light Management (RLM), the innovative music management company behind major artists like Alicia Keys, the Dave Matthews Band, Phish and Tim McGraw, to celebrate outstanding achievement in the music industry honoring Grammy nominees, winners and other industry professionals.  RLM is known for their entrepreneurial approach and adoption of emerging technology to bring unparalleled representation to their roster of clients, making it a perfect fit for Dell’s approach to powering both creative and entrepreneurs. According to Billboard magazine, about 900 people showed up over the course of the night, including Red Light artist Ben Harper who won earlier for Best Blues Album with Charlie Musselwhite for "Get Up!"

With awards ranging from Best Engineered Recording to Best Music Video, powerful technology is behind every Grammy nominee helping them to bring their creative vision and masterpiece to life. Our audio creation and production tools, from touch tablets to high-end workstations, along with our software solutions from OpenLabs and Adobe Audition CC, were showcased at the event and got raving reviews from press and top influencers.

Dell’s Alienware laptops are not only the leading choice for gamers but also electronic dance musicians, including Morgan Page, Glitch Mob and Paz. And at the Grammy’s event, well-known DJ’s Everett Wong and Tendaji Lathaan were spinning and mixing music for guests on an Alienware M17.

Dell also showcased its professional audio production solutions on its Dell Precision M3800 mobile workstation, which is certified and tested for optimally running top recording, mixing, editing, and mastering software including Adobe Audition CC, Avid Pro Tools, Sony Vegas Pro and others. Dell’s mobile workstations also come with Waves MaxxAudio sound enhancement tools which are created by Waves for pro studio production used by almost all professional engineers and producers. With clearer highs, enhanced bass and increased volume, MaxxAudio provides a better listening, recording and producing experience on any workstation, mobile or desktop.

We also had our portable all-in-one with touch, the XPS 18, running StageLight music creation software. Dell has had a long time partnership with Linkin Park and Austin-based Open Labs to bring music creation to the masses through Stage Light software. The StageLight software allows users to produce sounds, organize them, play them live and or share them online. It’s a powerful, fun and intuitive way for any PC user to create music – even for those who have never played a note of music in their life.

Finally, Dell’s hottest tablets and laptops for producers and other industry professionals on the go were on display. We showcased our XPS 11 2-in-1 Ultrabook, XPS 12 Ultrabook Convertible and Dell Venue Windows and Android Tablets, along with ACL Live season 39 video reel of artists nominated for Grammys that preformed at ACL Live over the last year which is powered by Dell technology. Attendees loved our latest new line-up and what they are seeing from the new Dell!

We’d love to hear your thoughts on our new portfolio of touch and tablet products and how technology has enabled you to deliver your creative vision.
