Dell, EPA Collecting PCs, Accessories for Recycling Saturday in DC

It has been one green week! Evidence of Earth Day was everywhere I
looked this week, especially here at Dell:

  • We hosted global town halls for employees to
    learn about our green initiatives;
  • We celebrated becoming part of the InfoWorld
    Green 15
  • We partnered with Microsoft and Goodwill to expand
    the Reconnect partnership
  • And Dell volunteers collected 3 truckloads of
PCs and accessories for recycling at our
    community event

But wait, there's more!

Tomorrow (Saturday, April 24) in Washington, D.C., Dell and
the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
will host our fourth annual consumer eCycling event. Consumers from the DC area
can drop off any brand of computer, laptop, monitor, printer, scanner, cell
phone or PDA to be responsibly recycled. And, of course, customers recycling
with Dell can be confident their system is disposed of responsibly, since we
ban the export of non-working electronics to developing countries as part of
our global electronics disposal policy.

So, District of Columbians, gather those old, worn out PCs
and accessories from the closets they're hiding in and come on out.

For everyone not in the DC area, check out Dell's five free
options for consumer recycling at

We're working hard to make it free and convenient to recycle
your old PCs, but it only works if consumers participate. So let's do it!
Together, we can make it Earth Day every day.
