Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) has to be one of the most exciting weeks for entrepreneurs- and most certainly one of my favorites. For an entire week, innovation and entrepreneurship are in the spotlight all around the world. As a sponsor of GEW, Dell is celebrating with a number of different activities that support entrepreneurs across the globe.

I wanted to take some time today to shine a light on one of the ways Dell is supporting entrepreneurs in the US through the Founders Club, one of the first programs facilitated by the Dell Innovators Credit Fund.  The best way for me to talk about the Founders Club is to share a little about its members and how they partner with Dell. So, over the next several weeks, you will get a chance to meet several different companies from the Founders Club and hear about how they are growing their business through innovation and technology.

First up is Social Fortress.

Social Fortress, an Atlanta-based company, offers technology that helps companies and consumers in regulated industries (financial services, health care, etc.) use the cloud and mobility solutions more securely. Simply put Social Fortress offers a way for both consumers and enterprise users to access and manage their important data through encryption, monitoring, and enforcing policies for data before it reaches the cloud.

Founder and CTO, Adam Ghetti (@AdamGhetti), approached Dell while looking to make their first public announcement of their product at a high-profile event, the TechCrunch Disrupt conference.  At that time, their current cloud services provider did not offer a layer of security that could provide the level of confidence they required for their business. Dell SecureWorks not only delivered on the security needed, but also provided a dedicated cloud support team to help the business grow quickly and efficiently.

Since then, Social Fortress has won the Spark of Genius award at Europe’s Biggest Tech Competition, in the Enterprise category, and continues to grow their business.

“With the Dell vCloud dedicated offering, we were able to ensure data isolation from other customers’ data, unlike the pay as you go model at Amazon.” said Adam. “Being a cloud security company, the dedicated, concierge support from being a Founder Club member, and the access to Dell experts on the vCloud team, provided protection on all tiers gave us the security that other competitors could not offer, and a name that they trust.”

From the feedback Dell continues to receive from small businesses and startups, this level of support is critical in helping businesses meet their full potential. It’s so rewarding to now be a part of Dell’s commitment to entrepreneurs, truly offering support of a Fortune 50 to growing companies who will be a part of shaping the future.

I look forward to sharing many more stories, like Adam’s, and being an active supporter of their successes.
