Dell Hosts First Ever Analyst Summit in India

Earlier this month, Dell India
concluded its first ever Analyst Summit. Dell hosted 32 analysts from more than eight analyst firms (including Gartner,
IDC, Forrester, CMR etc.). The audience represented a broad spectrum of
research expertise and domain depth in the industry. During
the summit. Dell executives discussed progress we’ve been making on the
solutions front, and also shared insight into India’s strategic relevance to
Dell.

The event was
kicked off by Atul Vohra, VP – Marketing, Dell Services. The agenda included
introductory sessions by, Suresh Vaswani, Dell India Chairman & EVP, Dell
Services and Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, President, Dell India, followed by
sessions on Enterprise Solutions, Intelligent Data Management, End-User
Computing and India GTM by P A Sathyaseelan, S Sridhar, P Krishnakumar and
Mahesh Bhalla respectively.  All of the India leaders then also hosted 1×1 sessions with the analysts in the

 An
interactive Q & A session covered a host of questions from how was Dell enabling
the solutions selling through channel, Dell’s readiness with productized
services, Dell’s ability to compete on Services in the Indian marketplace with
established technology leaders, further details on storage strategy, and more.
Many of the conversations reflected the value of
Dell’s strategy, especially with our focus on
mid-market
, the Perot integration, key challenges of reaching the
some of the tier 2 / tier 3 towns in India and
beyond. There were also many conversations around consumerization of IT,
ability to offer storage-as-a-service and the security roadmap for India.

While we understand
there is more work to be done, we were excited to hear positive
feedback from many of the analysts. Many appreciated this step to reach out to the
