Dell is Gearing Up for CES 2011

CES 2011 logoThe Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011) is about to get underway. For those who aren’t familiar with what it’s all about, CES is one of the largest global conferences dedicated to showing off the latest in consumer technology.

If you’re into mobile phones, tablets, digital entertainment, laptop or PC hardware, televisions, car technology, etc., CES is a place where you’ll probably see something new.

As you might expect, Dell’s going to be part of the action next week at CES in Las Vegas.

There are three broad themes  that you’ll hear from Dell this year are Mobile Technology, Entertainment and Gaming. Those themes shouldn’t be a surprise to many of you if you’ve been paying attention to products we introduced last year.  We launched mobile devices like the Dell Streak and the Venue Pro smartphone. We also re-introduced the XPS line of laptops for customers looking for high performance and an unparalleled entertainment and audio experience. And speaking of entertainment, we introduced Dell Stage in consumer products like the Inspiron duo, Dell’s mobility product with a unique form factor and the  Inspiron One all-in-one desktop. On the gaming side, we introduced a host of new Alienware desktop and laptop systems from the massive Alienware ALX desktops to the Alienware M11x portable gaming notebook.

Here’s a preview video:

On Thursday, January 6, several Dell execs will take part of a press conference to provide an update from Dell at CES from the Palms hotel.
