Following the introduction of the Vostro A840 and A860 Laptops in August, Dell is introducing the newest member of the Vostro mobile family – the Vostro A90. We know our small and medium business customers are looking for high-quality affordable mobile solutions that are built to be reliable with just the features they need to stay productive. That’s what we’ve done with the Vostro A90 (and indeed the whole Vostro line-up).
Like it’s consumer companion the Inspiron Mini 9, the Vostro A90 is easy to carry (weighing only 1.07 kilograms with an 8.9 inch display) and easy to use. However, because it’s designed to be an ideal mobile business Internet companion for the on-the-go small business professional, it offers more standard features than the home focused Inspiron Mini 9. In addition, the Vostro A90 is backed by a range of Dell’s services and support options designed for small businesses.
The Vostro A90 is available now in Japan. Starting in November, the A90 will also be available in China, Turkey, Ukraine, Spain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, and the UK, and will be available in Russia early next year.
The system will be sold primarily through our channel partners in emerging countries and direct from Dell in selected countries. Prices will vary by country but start around $475.
The Vostro A90 is affordable and built to give customers the freedom and flexibility of staying highly mobile and connected during short business trips, meetings around town, or while commuting to and from the office. With integrated connectivity options (Wi-Fi & Bluetooth capabilities), the A90 is perfect for that “30-minute connection” experience of e-mailing, surfing the Web or blogging. Here’s a little more about its features:
- Sealed keyboard to guard against dust and spills
- Pre-installed operating systems (Ubuntu Linux 8.04 or Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition) and basic office productivity applications enable simple & fast setup for an out-of-the-box computing experience.
- A 0.3 pixel camera and microphone for video conferencing with customers, colleagues and family.
- An Intel Atom processor for greater efficiency
- TrueLife display that delivers enhanced clarity and vivid detail, presenting most web pages with no left-right scrolling.
