Dell Mini 12 Launching in Japan, Will Reach US Later in November

If you've been keeping up with the tech blogs over the weekend, you might have heard about the Inspiron Mini 12 that we're introducing in Japan in sites like Gizmodo, Engadget, Crave or Laptop Magazine. And speaking of Laptop Magazine, they published Q&A with Dell's John New as well. And for who want an in-depth, hands-on review, look no further than Australia's APC.com

A few quick things from me… we're introducing it with Vista Home Basic initially–both Ubuntu and XP will be offered on these things by the end of the year. While there are some similarities with its smaller brother the Inspiron Mini 9, the Mini 12 will feature a larger screen 12" screen with a maximum resolution of 1280×800, a larger keyboard, Atom processor options that are smaller and a bit more  energy-efficient than the one the Mini 9 uses and hard drive options of 40GB, 60GB or 80GB (depending on region) as opposed to SSD drives.

And if you want our take on the Inspiron Mini 12, take a look at Anne Camden's post over at Your Blog.
