Great advice from one of the smartest guys I know

David Siles, CTO for Kane County, Illinois is one of the sharpest people I know.  Besides being a supportive and engaged EqualLogic customer for several years now, he approaches everything he does with the same bottom-line intelligence.  Infoworld just ran a story on him where he shares his thoughts and observations with others looking to implement virtualization in medium sized organizations.

FWIW, Dave believes in segregating iSCSI SAN traffic from LAN traffic as much as possible.  He runs his EqualLogic SANs on what he calls an "air gap" network – in other words a seperate physical network.
