Rounding out the Dell Software Competencies

The Dell Software Group has expanded their broad range of software competency offerings by releasing two new Systems Management specializations. Now, Dell partners can focus their Systems Management Competency achievement in the areas of Performance Monitoring or Virtualization and Cloud.

The Performance Monitoring track features sales and technical presales training on the Foglight family of products.

  • Foglight offers industry-recognized, best-of-breed solutions in the areas of application performance, database performance, virtualization, and deep storage. The Performance Monitoring market is projected to grow to a $3.6 billion by 2016[1] as organizations strive to optimize their business critical systems and improve service delivery.  The Dell Foglight solution set, with its single platform, its modular, flexible architecture, and its unified user experience competes well against vendors who offer more specialized and fragmented solutions.

The Virtualization and Cloud Specialization offers a path to Systems Management Competency for software partners who focus on virtualization, or who want to expand their business into the area of virtualization and cloud data center solutions.

  • IT organizations are increasingly taxed by the challenge of managing hybrid environments. This track features sales and presales technical training for ‘Foglight for Virtualization’, which enables organizations to monitor and optimize their virtual, physical, and cloud environments. And, it includes vRanger, a data protection solution that provides high-speed backup, replication and recovery of VMware® and physical Windows® Server environments.
