When an IT organisation like E-MIT Solutions partners with Dell, we immediately gain access to all of the support structures and opportunities that come with working with the world's leading solutions provider. One such opportunity is the 2015 EMEA Dell Security Peak Performance event, running between May 18–20th in Berlin. An exclusive event organised on an invite-only basis, EMEA Peak Performance is designed for business and technical leaders, featuring presentations by Dell security leaders, and affords the opportunity to meet and discuss with Dell and industry personnel on a variety of topics.

For us, this is a fantastic opportunity to engage with key Dell personnel and senior executives, as well as other European channel partners, to learn more about Dell's future plans for the security market, and also how E-MIT Solutions can leverage our highly successful partnership with Dell to expand our security portfolio. In addition, developing our understanding of the Dell security suite will allow us to provide a combination of Dell solutions to our clients in protecting them on an end-to-end basis, from data centre to cloud and across multiple devices and locations. Featuring keynote speakers such as Phil Allen, Director, Enterprise Security, EMEA; Laurent Binetti, Vice President & General Manager of EMEA Channel; Marvin Blough, Executive Director, Worldwide Channels and Alliances, Dell Software Group; and Tim Brown, Executive Director for Security, Dell Software Group, Dell Peak Performance will allow us to benefit first-hand from the experiences and ideas of such influential figures within the Dell community.

Of particular interest is the opportunity to engage in technical and business breakout sessions, covering a plethora of topics ranging from secure mobile access solutions and data protection to email security and best-selling practices for Dell's solutions. These sessions will also facilitate the discovery of insights from different and similar markets, idea exchange, the forging of beneficial alliances and discussion regarding leading strategies. We won't just be listening, however, but actively engaging in these sessions – E-MIT will take the opportunity to discuss how we were the first company in Ireland to launch firewall-as-a-service, powered by Dell SonicWALL. During these sessions we will also promote our key message in relation to changing the mindset of companies and their users from viewing IT security as an inhibitor to recognition of its potential to increase productivity and service levels, safely and securely.

It's not all technical terms and business concepts, however. For starters, the guest speaker is well-known and highly respected former footballer Gary Lineker, who captained the England squad during the early 90s. An entertaining speaker well-schooled in the principles of motivation, teamwork and leadership, his talk will hopefully also include some interesting and perhaps some anecdotes from his footballing days! And then there's the Dell Market Festival, combining dining and networking in the historic backdrop of one of Berlin's oldest market halls – the colourful Arminius-Markthalle – where guests can take a stroll around the stalls, eat at a 20 metre long wooden table, enjoy a tasty drink from the small in-market brewery and continue to network in a more informal environment.

Offering the chance to meet with Dell professionals and industry colleagues to share experiences, discover market insights and take home more innovative ways of doing business, there is no doubt that Peak Performance will have a long-lasting impact on our business and countless others. As Dell says: Come for knowledge. Leave with power.
