Small Business Tech Tip: What the Font?!

Ever wanted to find a font just like the one used by certain publications, corporations, or ad campaigns?  Trying to find the name and or source can sometimes seem impossible, like a needle in a haystack.  Luckily, there is a new service that I found that helps clear the confusion.  Developed in conjunction with the University of Birmingham in England, WhatTheFont is a font recognition system that works by uploading a scanned image of any font and then analyzing it to find the closest match in the system database. Images can be color or black & white and they don't have to be very high quality (although that helps). If the utility can't figure it out, which in my limited experience has not happened yet, you can even submit your image to the WhatTheFont Forum where cloak-draped font enthusiasts around the world will try and help you out.  For more information or to try it yourself, visit WhatTheFont.
