Texas State University-San Marcos – Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) partners with Dell and announces Project: Green Earth

(November 28, 2007 – San Marcos, Texas)

The Texas State University-San Marcos Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team has partnered with Dell, Inc., on a global going green effort entitled, “Project: Green Earth.”  The purpose of the project is to raise awareness about the ethical treatment of the environment, specifically computer waste in landfills.

1800 SIFE schools worldwide will participate with Texas State SIFE in learning about how to preserve our beautiful planet.  The Texas State SIFE Team has created a “Green Earth” quiz, green facts and tips for preserving the earth.  The schools answering the “Green Earth” questions correctly will be entered into a drawing to win a brand new Dell, Inc., notebook computer for their team.  Two U.S. teams and two international teams will be selected as winners and announced at regional competition to be held in Dallas, Texas in March, 2008.
