No matter what your political persuasion may be, one thing all U.S. citizens can agree upon is that our brave men and women in the armed forces selflessly answer the call to serve, and that their sacrifices should not go unappreciated. Many have left friends and family behind to serve overseas, and all have made the decision to sacrifice everything to do what they think is right. We owe our brothers and sisters in uniform more than we can ever possibly hope to repay.
One traditional way to show appreciation is by sending a thank you card. For such large sacrifices, a thank you card alone seems too small of a gesture, so we've decided to make it bigger. We're asking everyone to help us make the world's LARGEST thank you card through Facebook and Twitter, because one small thank you card doesn't even come close to expressing our appreciation for what these brave men and women have given up to answer the call.
How does this work? Simply go to the Dell – Military Appreciation Event tab on Facebook and add your "thank you" comment to the card. If Twitter is more your speed, you can alternatively tweet your "thank you" comment and add the hash tag #tweet4troops, and your comment will be added to other tweeters who support the cause.
Even given the size of this "thank you", it still isn't enough. We're also giving away 250 Dell XPS 15z laptops to select military personnel based upon your nominations (details on the Facebook event link above). If you're in the U.S. military, you can enter yourself or another deserving military member to win one of these laptops. If you're not in the U.S. military, you can still nominate someone in uniform to win. As a thank you for supporting our troops, each nominator will receive a coupon for $50 off select systems!
It only takes a moment to add your "thank you" to the list, and yet your appreciation means everything!
