Win the Ultimate SuperProm

Starting today Juniors and Seniors in high schools across the US can enter to win the ultimate SuperProm for their school. To enter, students can take their Flip cam, cell phone or other gadget to record a quick, 60 seconds or less video explaining why their school deserves to win. Starting February 8th, entries can boost their school’s chances of winning by sharing the videos via social media and getting friends, fans and followers to cast their vote online. Check out this handy list of ideas to help get the word out. Once voting closes, MTV Correspondent Chris Ryan will help select the Most Creative video from the top 100.

UPDATE: You may have seen in the newsor from Michael’s tweetyesterday, that Dell’s SuperProm contest winner was announced with a huge pep
rally celebration. Cupertino High
School
clenched the win with more than 32,000 votes beating out over 100
other schools that entered the competition.

Cupertino’s story started in 2007,
when they decided to focus their fundraising efforts (typically focused on
raising money for the senior prom) to raising money for Nthimbiri Secondary
School in Kenya. They call the project "Kenya Dream" and became dedicated to it
after hearing about conditions in Kenya from a Kenya native who works as an
engineer in Mountain View. Congrats Cupertino – go Kenya Dream!
